This nationally acclaimed video is a project of the Great Lakes Intertribal Council's Lactation Education Assistance Program. Available in a 29 minute and an 83 minute version, the video features Native American women telling in their own words of their experience in learning and teaching breastfeeding in the context of community and family tradition.

The discussions include:
New mothers' questions, Managing at the hospital, Working and breastfeeding, Sexuality,
Birth control, Attitudes towards extended nursing, Fathers' roles, Tandem nursing, and more...

The 83 minute video contains over 30 interviews with women, their partners and elders of the Indian communities, designed to be run at clinics and waiting rooms. The 29 minute version contains selected interviews from the longer version, and is designed for inclusion in pre-natal education to assist in the breastfeeding decision.
