Red Cliff hugs the northern shoreline of the Bayfield Peninsula. At one end is Bayfield, on the other is Cornucopia, and between them is the Apostle Islands National Lakeshore. Visit exotic ice caves in winter or sand beaches in summer.
You can visit Point Detour, a tribal campground away from the crowd, or you can enjoy our full-service camping facilities within walking distance of the Isle Vista Casino in downtown Red Cliff.
Just three miles north of historic Bayfield on Highway 13, the recreational and entertainment centers are located on Lake Superior, within walking distance of each other. Included are the Red Cliff boat landing and marina with 45 slips, adjacent to our famous lakeside campground with 41 sites, including RV sites, overlooking Basswood and Madeline Islands. All are near the Pow-wow ground where the Annual July 4th weekend pow-wow brings singers, dancers, and craft people from all around Lake Superior. Everyone is welcome to this unique Woodland Indian cultural event. The winter season brings the annual Snowflake festival during the third week of December, as well as the Winterfest in January.
Whatever your outdoor pleasure, you can find it at Red Cliff. We have camping, hiking, sailing, trolling, ice fishing, cross country skiing, and snowmobiling, with 500 miles of connected trails. Don't forget the Inland Sea Kayaking Symposium in June.
The Isle Vista Casino offers indoor fun. Here you can enjoy live weekend entertainment in our lounge. Also available is a full-service bar and grill with special evening entrees. The Isle Vista Casino offers the best in Indian gaming, including blackjack, electronic keno, and slots.
