Service Area

We currently serve the Lac Courte Oreilles Community and the Stockbridge-Munsee Community, all youth enrolled in our programming at Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe School, the Bowler and Gresham School Districts, and the Shawano Boys and Girls Club. We also serve all youth in Sawyer County in collaboration with Sawyer County Public Health’s State PREP grant.

Eligibility

Our target population are youth between the ages of 10 and 19 years, and pregnant and parenting youth under age 21 with emphasis on American Indian youth. We realize that when youth live in communities where schools and agencies serve all youth it is important to educate youth no matter race. We reason that youth are engaged in relationships and influenced by each other’s ideology and beliefs. Our hope is that by bringing native focused curriculum to the entire community it encourages better understanding and acceptance of native traditions and beliefs.
