Stigma Awareness Event
November 19 @ 3:00 pm - 7:00 pm
In collaboration with Wisconsin Voices for Recovery, GLITEC is excited to host a Stigma Awareness Event. This event will be held on Tuesday, November 19, 2024, at the Lac du Flambeau Bingo Hall in Lac du Flambeau, WI.
The Stigma Awareness Event is focused on reducing the stigma around opioid and substance use.
In conjunction with this event, Wisconsin Voices for Recovery will also provide Narcan Training and Fentanyl test strips at no cost!
GLITEC is inviting Tribal community members, tribal spiritual leaders and healers, public health professionals, prevention professionals, social workers, community health workers, and others working within Indian Country to support recovery in Indian Country. Through this gathering, we hope to work together to address and fight the stigma surrounding opioid and substance use.
