Intersecting Roots to Wellness Conference

The Great Lakes Inter-Tribal Epidemiology Center (GLITEC) is excited to announce an upcoming virtual conference, Intersecting Roots to Wellness. This conference is focused on the intersections of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV), Intimate Partner Violence (IPV), and Substance Use Disorder (SUD). The goal of this conference is to increase knowledge of the intersections of HIV, IPV, and substance use in Indian Country. We will be hosting excellent speakers from across Indian Country with diverse knowledge about HIV, IPV, and SUD. Come join us!
Who should attend? This conference is geared towards Tribal public health leaders and clinicians, Tribal Epidemiology Center (TEC) staff, public health professionals, medical professionals, social workers, domestic violence advocates, and HIV/IPV/SUD researchers.
Conference Objectives:
- Create a space for dialogue and knowledge sharing between public health professionals
- Encourage Native-focused models, speakers of treatment and prevention for HIV, IPV, and substance use
- Increase awareness about the intersections of HIV, substance use, IPV, and trauma
