Aging and Disability Services Director

The Aging and Disability Services (ADS) Director will manage and direct the Tribal Aging and Disability Benefits Program and associated staff. This position will work in partnership with tribal health and human services agencies and Aging and Disability Resources Centers (ADRCs) in the tribes’ service area to ensure that tribal members receive culturally appropriate information about ADRC services and are able to comfortably and effectively access long term care services.

Elder Benefit Specialist (EBS)

The Elder Benefits Specialist (EBS) for Great Lakes Intertribal Council (GLITC) provides Tribal Elders 55 years of age and older, with information, assistance, and advocacy, in areas of tribal and public benefits, housing and consumer issues. The EBS is responsible for coordinating outreach and education to Tribal Elder persons and service providers in the community. The EBS acts as a consultant with an expertise in Tribal Elder benefits. Daily attendance is an essential job function of this position.

This is a full-time salary/exempt opportunity working Mon-Fri 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM averaging 40-45 hours per week. Current location is in Lac Du Flambeau, WI – we may consider another tribal office site. Frequent travel will be required. This position has a salary range of $40,00 -45,000 annually with benefits including Annual/Personal Leave, Holiday Pay, Health, Dental, Life & AD&D, STD and LTD Insurance, FSA and 401(k) Retirement Plan.   Background Check and Drug Screen will required before employment.

Due to COVID-19, relocating hires may be subject to a 14 day self-isolation period before starting work in the office building.
