Indigenous Breastfeeding Counselors

Approximately 30 American Indian women completed the Indigenous Breastfeeding Counselor training in Wisconsin.  This course provided participants with clinical skills to begin serving breastfeeding families in tribal communities and addressed the specific historical and cultural implications of breastfeeding and parenting impacting Native families.
